Andrea Krenz's Visit

Andrea Krenz visited 'Palli Crafts' block printing premise on March 2022. She won the hearts of our craftsmen with her smile and sweet gifts.

She was delighted with the environment and skills of the artisans. One of our artisans taught her how to do block printing, which was a marvelous experience for her. Andrea herself got involved and engaged in the lives of the artisans.

Ami Tumi Waraji
"Waraji is a traditional Japanese footwear design. 
 
It was originally made from effective utilization of straw, it has been localized and reborn by using Bangladeshi cloth.
Now, that Japanese technology and ideology have been passed on to Bangladesh. 
“ami tumi” means “I and you” in Bengali. We hope that ami tumi waraji will color the lives of the people of Bangladesh from their feet up."
